Weather
Depending on where and when you walk the Camino, you may encounter different weather conditions.
Our tips:
- Take care in thunderstorms: avoid sheltering under trees.
- Do not light fires in dry conditions.
- If the weather is uncertain, especially in the mountains, ask your host for advice.
- Keep the taxi numbers from your information pack with you, in case you need to shorten a stage.
- Always carry your insurance details and our contact number.
- Always keep your rain cape or windproof jacket at the bottom of your daypack, even if the sky is clear in the morning.
Before setting out each day, check the local weather forecast. Most accommodation hosts will be happy to help, and forecasts are readily available online.
